I find that the gym's high-waisted pants that have tight waist support make me feel most confident. They hold and flatten my stomach that I love. They made me feel like I was seeing me the best and that I didn't feel insecure about. This is my favorite trick to feel confident and my all-time favorite items to wear in the gym.

If you get to the gym and instantly have an empty mind and forget what you should be doing, write it down before you go. Have a written plan in your phone notes section and you can't get it wrong! Get inspired by personal trainers, most of the time they will post exercises on their Instagrams. If you're struggling to find something that triggers your interest, then you can't be wrong with the class.

Group fitness classes are a great place to start, especially if you're just starting your fitness journey. There are many group fitness classes on offer at various gyms so just find one that interests you. Remember that instructors are more than willing to help you if you are new to the world of sports. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

Don't Push Yourself


If you're just starting your fitness journey, don't overexert yourself. Take your time and don't force yourself too hard. If you lift more than you are capable it will show, a good form when your weight training is super important.

It is only possible to maintain a good form if you lift up in your abilities. You'll just make yourself look ridiculous if you try to do something you can't afford yet. Take your time, you will build muscle in a short period of time! Confidence comes from experience, slow and steady and you will be comfortable in the gym in no time!

Relax! No one is looking Anyway


A very common misconception is that people who are new to the gym feel like everyone is looking at them and judging them. This can not be less correct. No one person sees anyone else in the gym and judges them. If you've ever thought that someone is looking at you, chances are that they are more so looking through you, and trying to accumulate the last bit of energy they have to complete their set.
